The requirements for government-guaranteed loans on manufactured housing changed to include a permanent foundation. It is required that foundations be certified by a licensed professional engineer to be in compliance with HUD-7584 (Permanent Foundation Guide for Manufactured Housing). This applies to FHA and VA loans.
As a result, many private lenders offering conventional loans have added this as a requirement for their loans. Pricing for a foundation certification starts as low as $425 in most areas. Prices vary throughout the United States based on several factors such as the geographic location of the home site; travel time to the home site (whether in a remote region or a high traffic area), etc.
Turn-Around Times
General turn-around times are 3 to 5 days from when you submit your assignment. We also have a rush service available for those needing an inspection and certification expedited as quickly as possible.
Payment Options
Our payment options are: 1) prepay with a credit/debit card, 2) prepay with a cashier's check, and 3) prepay with a personal check. If you are a lender that is scheduling an inspection on behalf of a homeowner, we also have a pay-at-close option
